Omar al-Bashir

Saturday, November 3, 2007

Omar al-Bashir has led Sudan since 1989. I believe he considers himself "the president" as of this moment if it's all the same to you. His rule has been marred by a civil war between the Arab Muslim north and the black Christian south that lasted until recently. He also oversees the second largest humanitarian crisis in the world, which is taking place in the region of Darfur. The first is Vanilla Ice's career. Omar al-Bashir's government has been accused of funding militias who have massacred Darfuri civilians. The atrocities have been labeled as a genocide.

Omar al-Bashir also enjoys playing X-box and is a proficient dart-thrower.
